Hi there everyone! Sorry for not having a video for a while, but hopefully I’m now back. I’ll explain where I was in a minute, but first here’s the ratings I gave the book…
Characters — 10-10.
Plot — 10-10.
Writing — 9.5-10.
Enjoyment — 9.5-10.
Overall — 9.8-10.
It was my favourite book of the year and will also be one of my favourites of all time! 8D
So, where have I been, you ask? I’ve been busy, but everyone says that when they’re gone! It’s true, but let’s go into more detail…
In October I was busy in school doing quite a lot of controlled assessments in school which I had to revise and prepare for at home (and partly at school). For example, for Spanish I had to memorise around 500 words and then go into the lesson and write up the whole thing from memory. I spent quite a while learning it, but that all paid off as in my teacher’s opinion I got an A* (it has to be sent to the exam board for them to officially decide, so I hope she wasn’t too nice on me as I really want an A* in Spanish!).
Then in November I got my Microsoft Word Office out and began writing for National Novel Writing Month (or just simply ‘NaNoWriMo’). It was an incredible experience, but very tiring, too. I had to write a whole 50,000 word novel in the month, so that’s around 1,667 words to write per day. But I actually started late, meaning I had more words than that to write per day (I started on Day 6). Still though, I decided to catch up with what I should have been at if I started on the first and got on track. About halfway through, I was actually above my goal. So yeah, that competition took a lot of my time, especially my reading time (I wrote instead of read).
For most of December I haven’t actually been doing that much, so I can’t really make up any excuses for that. Aha. :L Well, I could say that I’ve been moving my bookshelf (there’ll be videos back with it in the New Year). It’s still in my bedroom, just in another place in order for my new piano, which I’m getting for Christmas, to go where it was. I’ve also been decorating the house for Christmas, wrapping presents and as soon as this video is posted, I’m actually about to go cooking stuff for Christmas Dinner (I’m making mushroom soup for starters and then gingerbread biscuits, Christmas cake, cinnamon buns, chocolate log and mince pies for dessert. Of course, the desserts will last us throughout the festive period. I like desserts, but wouldn’t eat all of those in one go!!).
But yeah, I hope I’m back. I’ll probably film a video on Sunday showing you what I got for Christmas, but I don’t know if it’ll be necessarily up on Sunday. It depends what time of day I film it as I’ll have to edit and then time will need to be needed to upload the thing. But yes, see you then…

The first book for the second Summer15 is Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell. I liked the story, just not the format of the book. The formatting was so strange that it took away from the plot for me.
