I have one and love …
I have one and love it. My only gripe with the unit is that there is no interactive book of content. If you had the ability to jump from one chapter to another I would really be happy. There is a new update, but it still does not do TOC. Thanks for the review.

Prices are dropping …
Prices are dropping like crazy as its touchscreen replacement is coming out. I have to say, I’m not sure the touchscreen itself is a big advantage (some of the other features like internet and email might be) since with the Libre Color’s auto-rotation and remapping of buttons, I can hold it in landscape orientation with one hand and turn pages without even moving either hand. (taking extreme laziness to whole new levels!)

It would be nice,for sure, but there is a GoTo page function that helps, as long as you remember what page it was you wanted to go to. Bookmarks are also handy for the same reason if you need to remember a specific section. I think TOC would be hard to do for a bookreader because there is no cursor to navigate with in reading mode. I am not sure how other bookreaders handle TOC..

The Kindle, Sony Reader lets you navigate via a cursor to select what chapter you want and you are there in seconds. I have tried the Go To but don’t like it much.

tried this with high hopes, but was met only with disappointment. updating the firmware crashed halfway through, rendering the device useless. returned for a new unit which fried itself upon connecting to usb.

Sorry, I don’t have an answer. I have had occasional lagging of audio to the video, but I don’t know if it is the Aluratek or my conversion process. I’ve never used an SD card, so I don’t know. Is your card an SD or SDHC? Maybe it can’t handle SDHC…..?

well mine is SDHC 16GB… user Manuel says it supports upto 16 gb…
